Ireland's pet heroes: as seen on screen at The Late Late Show

We took to national TV when we teamed up with The Late Late Show to find Ireland's 2025 pet hero. Entries came in thick and fast from across the country.

A dog that detected low blood sugars in their diabetic owner, another who noticed a gas leak and literally saved the lives of its family, dogs that gave great comfort to their owners through difficult and trying times.

The finalists were invited along to The Late Late Show studios where they met judges Paddy Keilty, David Walliams, Linda Martin, and 2024 vet of the year winner Daniella Heekes.

All finalists took home not only tremendous pride, but an amazing doggy hamper.
